Heaven and Hell
by Jennifer  Jimenez

Heaven and Hell,
That is what we are.
Such opposites,
But, yet, we are in love.
You are my angel whom I trust
To guide me and protect me.
I am your demon who brings
Out only the worst in you.
I say and do things I have
No explanation for.

I hide things from you, and
Give you nothing but broken promises.
And yet you still manage to put
That aside and try to see the good.
You always make sure I have
A smile on my face.
All I do is turn your smile
Into a frown.

I am that cloud of rain and thunder
On your perfect sunny day.
Love and Hate.
That is what our relationship
Is about.

When things are good, we are
Loving and affectionate to one another.
When things are bad, we yell
And disrespect each other.
I am the demon in your life
Who brings out the worst in you,
Who makes you angry and hurt.
You are my angel who protects me
And guides me, who wants only
What is best for me.

Heaven and Hell.
That is what we are.
Good and Evil,
But, yet, we can't be apart.
