Forsaken
by Mia LaPointe
You stand above me laughing,
as I lay crumpled at your feet
My pain is your pleasure
and you almost choke on your glee
knowing that I'm completely broken
you witness my defeat
Misery consumes the very essence of my soul
torn to pieces I fall,
fading from exsistence I stand alone
In the end I found I never
really stood at all
I cry with the knowledge
that I was never wanted
I suffer with the hurt
you placed in my heart
and with cruel hands
I watch you slowly rip it apart
Happiness a distant memory
despair takes its place
And still you stand there
with a triumphant look upon your face
The emptiness fills me
and I reach for the knife
wanting nothing more than to
end this wretched life
You steal it away
getting high from the ecstasy
that my agony brings
you hold the only hope left
to bring me to oblivion
You delight in the show
as my soul ceases to shine
and you burn the nightmares in to my mind
while the words you said still haunt me
and I writhe with the torment
your kind of love brings
I lost everything
you took it
you stole my life
you stole it all
Another mark on the wall
You called me your angel
you made me your slave
You took my love
and dug me shallow grave
Crude and unmarked
you made sure that I wouldn't be remembered
You forever branded me
With one simple word you wrote...
Forsaken.
