THE LESSON YOU TAUGHT
by Crystal D Moore

I see your face from time to time,
It takes me back to when you were mine.

I still don't know why we fell apart,
All I know is that you broke my heart.

It didn't take long for you to find someone new,
2 years gone by and I still want you.

I still hold on to what might have been,
And wait for the letter that you might send.

I worshiped you like you were a king,
I wish I had known the kind of pain it would bring.

You shut me out like I was never even there,
You gave me no reason and that's not fair.

My whole life changed after the last call I got,
I learned about love from the lesson you taught!
