OUR LAST GOOD-BYES
by lori  fernandez

Today, right now
I know you?re there
Watching above
Way up in the sky
Seeing that we hear
And asking why??

We don?t understand
What?s going on
You looked OK
What went so wrong?
But no need to ask questions
It was your time?

So, here we are in this line
Today, right now
You are in our minds
We will never forget you
Your smile will shine
You were a great person

We will not lie
You were a wonderful
Husband to your wife
Who is very sad
But, yet, you were
The greatest father
To the only son you had

You were the best grandpa
Your grandkids could have
And nevertheless
A family man

So, this is what we will remember
The good times with you
But please don?t worry about us
Just let us grieve
Let us cry
Let us take another breath of life
We will be ok?
There will be another day

I hope nothing goes wrong
So that the next day
We all can be strong
So, please
Uncle,
Grandpa,
Dad
And husband
Please lay in your casket
No peaking I said

Now it?s your turn
Get ready for your next
The heavens are calling
Now please go above
An enjoy the love
And don?t forget to send some doves
We will now let you go
So, here are our last good-byes
Rest-in-peace
Henry Makekau
With much love & cries
