Cold love
by Robbie A. Makhoul

Black and cold is my heart, trying to find a spark.
Give me your love to guide me in the dark.
Bring me to a path where I can follow a light,
A light to your love, a love almost out of sight.

Forgive me, for my mind is confused and my love is lost.
Warm my heart, for it is coated with frost
So cold, so frozen, so hard that it hurts.
One love, your love is warm enough to break this curse.

Cursed by the one who's hands were so cold,
She who froze my heart, putting my love on hold.
It broke to pieces with a touch of pain,
Cursed the world with everyday rain.

A rain of blood dropped from the skies,
A pain bringing cold and darkness to my eyes,
Freezing the bloody rivers leading to my heart.
Renew this heart with your love, for it has fallen apart.

Imbue this black world with your colors,
Fill my heart with your own sweet feathers,
For my blood is the fluid, my heart is the lighter,
Sparked by your love, my life is now brighter.
