You were fake I was real
by Edna Lynette Casanova Logan

Lost emotions, not able to find
Wasted memories, wasted time
Heart hurts, watery eyes
I can?t keep believing my lies

Trying to convince myself we could be one
But reality sets in; all I want to do is run
Runaway to a dark place
Disappearing without a trace

Why must it be this way?
When I talk to you, you have nothing to say
Only that we can be friends and nothing more
When I heard that my heart hit the floor

Puffy eyes, red runny nose
Tears dropping like the petals of a rose
He likes me, he like me not
All I wanted was a shot

To show you the true meaning of love
I could have been sent from heaven above
What?s happened has happened- and no going back
This we know is a fact

So, live your life as you will
Just know... you were fake and I was real...
