Premonitions of Love
by   TareeSu Hiraga

I keep forgetting that today you're really not mine...
We're just playing house and passing the time.

But I watch you doing the simplest of things...
And I love and adore you. Baby, you are my King.

I live in a world of true romance and euphoric love...
Really alone in a fairytale no other could conceive of.

What is real are the hurt feelings as they boil deep down inside...
These emotions control me and the feelings I can't hide.

When you came into my life things moved much too fast...
I had no idea I'd be hurt or that we wouldn't last.

So with each passing day, I give it my all...
Still you stay out all night without even a call.

You have promised and promised, "I won't do it again."
Your false promises have proven you aren't really my friend.

Over and over you have professed your eternal love...
But you turn right around and show me how much I'm thought of.

It's one day at a time; we try harder together to exist...
And I still dream of a time when we can live in true happiness.
