DO YOU REMEMBER
by   THIEF OF HEARTS

Do you remember how we met?
It was in school one day,
I passed you in the hall
And you looked my way.

Do you remember how it felt
From the very start,
How we felt something special
Down deep in our hearts?

Do you remember our first date
And how quickly I said yes?
You went and rented a tux
And I bought a new dress.

Do you remember how we danced
And all the smiles we shared?
You said you really liked me
And I was the prettiest girl there.

Do you remember what happened
That made you change
From being gentle and kind
To so mean and deranged?

Do you remember me screaming,
Please don?t hit me anymore?
Do you remember my tears
Before you ran out the door?

Do you remember what I did
To deserve all of this,
A black eye and bruises
And the teeth I now miss?

Do you remember you liked me?
I?m thinking not.
After what you did,
I guess you forgot.
