Insulted Moon
by Bachir Talal Aequitas

Charm, I said you magnetic moon,
imbecile, yet leaving me restless.
Are there rainbows at night
time to wonder about your beauty?

You are the crown of the night and its God as well,
yet, imbecile still
Hence I, too, have chosen to roam in your kingdom
crowning myself
A king among you, spreading my glory over your throne,
in silence

Am the muse of poets, the charm for lovers
and beautiful eternal maze
Forever I thought about you nothing but a hollow god
with a face of blaze
Then wanted to whisper to you
if you had ears to whisper in,

   "beautiful am in infinite ways
while you are only in one
and what is a kingdoms worth
   if beauty they have none".

Now moon symbol of all nights
stay a moon and reserve your charms
Let kingdoms of beauty be built
not by you nor by angels
yet by human Arms.
