Goodbye
by Melissa Sue LaPointe

Disturbing images float through my mind.
I fell in love and I don't know why
But this love is slowly killing me,
It?s tearing my heart in two.

That's why I have to say good-bye to you.
I can't keep going on day-by-day
Pretending nothing's wrong
When all I do is think of you
Holding me in your arms.

My loneliness is suffocating.
When I'm not with you
I lose my mind.

I hope this pleasure-pain
Will someday fade,
Much like your face
When I turn and walk away.
