My Heart
by Chryel Mellissia Snyder

My heart is a revolving door.
People come in and people go out.

No one means what they say.
They will be gone at the break of day.

I thought I deserved love.
And yet, I feel I will never be loved.

"Will you marry me?" they say.
"Bye. I wish you the best," comes the next day.

You try to believe the best about yourself,
And yet you come to know the worst.

Will my heart ever know true love?
I question all that I ever believed.
