Angel's Tears
by Angelene Rose
How he hurt her, count the ways,
Ask God how she always prays.
Prays for changes with false hope,
Prays for more ways to cope.
Rain falls hard as they fight,
They yell hurtful things in spite.
She's been told when Angels cry,
Tear drops fall from Heaven's sky.
It's been a while since they've spoken,
It's now sinking in... they're broken.
Tonight rain falls from up above,
For here on earth an Angel loved.
She can't force herself to pray,
She trudges through each meaningless day.
Her golden hair wet and tangled,
Her broken heart abused and mangled.
Green eyes, once so bright,
Are now darker than the stormy night.
People ask her, "what's wrong,"
Wonder where her smiles have gone.
'Giggles' was her nickname before,
but she doesn't smile anymore.
She was told when Angels cry,
Tear drops fall from Heaven's sky.
Next time when you feel the rain,
Know you feel an Angel's pain
