I tried to tell you how I feel
But the words came jumbled
There is no way to say it
?I love you? is all I mumbled

I wish you could be by my side
Be there when I smile
And be there when I cry
Though every tear is worthwhile

There are no words to explain it
So, I wrote this poem instead
To remind me of every smile smiled
And every tear I shed

I?ve never been so sure
Of my feelings for one person
I?ve never felt so secure
In the arms of someone else

The best way I can explain my love
Is to tell you I?m forever yours
I love you, though you?re far away
Even though we?re on opposite shores
