WHY
by tracy  gilbert

Why did I give you my heart?
Stupid me, I thought you were the right man for me.
You said you loved me and would never leave me.
You said you would never hurt me.
You just wanted to make me happy.
You said I was the one for you.

We had so much fun together. So I thought...
Guess I was wrong.
Once again, stupid me...

I believed everything you told me
You said you were over her, that you didn?t want her
You said you wanted to start a life with me
And stupid me I believed you once again
I thought you really meant it
   The way you held me
   The way you touch me
   The way you kissed me

It all felt so real...

But, yet, I wake up and you're not here
I found out you went back to her
And now I am here alone with a broken heart
And all you can say is "sorry..."

I gave you my heart my soul
I gave you all of me
And you take away my life, my soul
And you run with it

All those lies you told...
I don?t know why I was always there for you
I tried so hard to make you happy
Guess I wasn't good enough for you

Why? Please tell me why...?
Why you went back to her and left me...?
All those lies you told me, why...?
Why did you say you loved me if you didn?t?
Why did you break my heart in two?

I may never know why- but just know, baby
I will get my heart and soul back...
And just know that you made a big mistake
When you left me, baby...
