growing hope and jubilation, excitement of the unknown.
hope leads to expectations of happiness, yearning for more.
expectations falsely achieved- short period of time.

occasional bouts of disappointment, quickly smoothed over.
only to happen more often.
doubts begin to surface, hope still on the edge of the mind.
loneliness creeps into smother hope. 
where are you?  where did the certainty go?

more time to contemplate you, more time to contemplate me.
tears begin... must not give in to fears, must not give up.
persevere and it will pay off. foolish words to cover doubts of you.
foolish heart still beats true. waiting for lies to feel secure.
the heart beats on...

disappearance of you. 
abrupt and final.
