If This Could Be Love
by Camille Patrice Wright
If I?ve been trusting you from the start, why is it so hard now?
If love for us have always been perfect, why is there no love found?
If love for us has always been so easy, why do we always fight?
If love for us, is good for us, Why do I cry at night?
If love was as great as you described, why don?t I feel that wonder?
If love has always been on top, why is it falling under?
If love is suppose to be joy and laughter, why do I feel such pain?
If love is suppose to be happily ever after,
why does it hold so much shame?
If love was what you promised me, why hasn?t that promise come true?
If love is supposed to bring me joy,
why is love so painful with you?
