Love like ours
by Jordan Tauai Taylor
Your love,
Like the blossomed tree,
Is as sweet & beautiful,
Like that yellow scent that blows in a draft.
I try to grab you with the warmth of me,
But you escape my loving grasp.
And, yet, when I say good-night,
I know you wish to respond,
But now our fates untwine,
No night divine,
Forever, together, no more.
