He was my life
by Jasmine Marie Night

He was my life, he was my soul.
I gave him everything I had
And now I have to let that all go.
He was my courage and my weakness;
my obligation to love itself
And now I have nothing left to show.

He was the one I turned to, my one true home,
He was my calling who left me to roam.
I need to leave here because of him,
I want to get out of this place
But no matter how far I run
I can still see his face...

I've said that I'm done
And that I'm through,
But the truth is, it's so damn hard to live without you!
I wake up with this same nauseating feeling each day
Hoping you might notice and call
But I know you've already turned away.

Goodbye, my friend, I love you so
But if it's that time... I have to let go.
