Such a Little Thing to Love
by Jared Lee Dudgeon
It is such a little thing to love,
and to be loved is better yet.
That love rains like tears from above,
cleansing thee till hate doth forget.
The memories of such a little thing,
are greater than one should bear;
that one's own well being doth hang,
in the feelings of a loving affair.
It is such a silly little thing, really,
that happiness is judged by it,
and, yet, so few ever get to know it truly,
as lovers too often fail to commit.
For such a little thing as love,
lives are often overwhelmed by it;
so please, Heart, for love be reminiscent of,
and please remember to never forget!
