Sunshine
by Michael Russel Julian Lucentales

The sun drew back to the shadows
Night had taken it's toll
Frozen winds came and beat strong
As wild dark clouds o?er me roll

Lightning sparkles the heavenly throng
Yet, thunder shatters the silence kept
Then teardrops flow out from the sky
Like the angels awoke from whence they slept

I, beneath that midnight scene,
Look round about the storm tossed plain
Smile, seeing the skies fall
And flooding the pastures with rain

Oh, melodious songs I sing
With showers from on high
For love comes down from heaven as rain
A crimson flood that draws nigh

This be my joy and jubilation
To see these drops of rain
For in each of which possesses
The wonder of love constrained

Let it rain, let it pour
Drench each part of me
Flood over my soul
Flow therein freely

I will that there be rain
In it a promise borne
A trace of sunshine will appear
Across the sky adorned

And when the sun is up on high
I would then long for rain
I wish the sky to fall once more
So I could see a trace of sunshine again
