Love Like Water
by Christopher Jo Rice

Love is like an ever flowing river,
Coursing rapidly through my veins,
A sacred spring, pristine in nature,
Eternal geyser of faith and happiness.

The purest of knowledge and marrow,
Spilling forth, awaiting consumption,
Anticipating, longing, yearning,
Craving containment for my affection.

Long sought after, love prevails,
Secured are my oceans of emotion,
held infinite in the vastness of hearts,
Devoured by my companion in life.

A river of love, as blue as her eyes,
An ocean of affection and care,
Rivaling the magnitude of her being,
Love springs the greatest of Life.
