Watching You Swim
by Barry Hammons
I envy the cool water,
Its full caress of your smooth body,
Its pliant support, delicate buoyance.
Yielding, parting to your will
Surrounds each lovely eyelash,
Gently probes, seeking touch of your skin.
Cleanses you,
Refreshes you,
Embraces you,
Giving you pleasure...
Yes, our contact is less- but deeper,
My touch, less in scope, but with passion.
I enter through your skin, gently surround your heart,
Embrace you with desire.
I support and yield
And we become enmeshed souls,
Refreshed, cleansed, found.
So, I am consoled.
The water does not love you.
I do.
