Just Another Day...
by Karissa  Baptiste

a grey pallor rolls over the morning sky,
as foggy as my own thoughts...
unravelling me, rendering me helpless...
hopeless...
for they revolve around you...

a pounding rain pours down on my windshield,
blurring my vision, as do the tears
i feel on my face...
how did i reach this place?

a gust of wind slams against my car...
almost as fierce as the shudders
that rip through my heart,
as i think of how much i miss you...

an icy breeze touches my neck,
igniting a spasm of shivers...
almost as if the ghost of your presence
had suddenly embraced me...

and then i am calm...
half smiling... warmed
by the lingering effects of that moment,
and multitude of memories...

but i still miss you too much, Love...
