A Final Thought
by Michae James Tomei

Fear begins her concluding turmoil
Confusion takes hold with a ripping embrace
Forgotten moments unearthed by this stifling agenda
Anticipation has become the enemy of late

Cling to the lyrics of life, for they are... who we are
Infinity waits for the conclusion to yesterday
The silence consumes what?s left of all hope
Yet! I still lay beside all my hopes... my dreams

The trembling hand reaches for a hold to grasp
In a swirl the numbness brings an end to misery
Each inhale has become a sigh of escaping relief
Familiarity is all that matters today

In the end we all slumber alone with our thoughts
A tranquil moment where known and unknown become as one
The voyage begins with a mysterious course that?s preordained
Release yourself from this dreaded trepidation...
                                      stare into eyes of love
