If You Were Mine and I Were Yours

By: Mi Singh

If you were mine and I were yours,
I'd give you all of me.

When you were lonely,
I'd give you a caring hand to hold.

When you were cold,
I'd give you arms that wrap you in a warm, fuzzy blanket of love.

When you were tired,
I'd give you a soft bosom to rest your weary head.

When you needed a companion,
I'd give you steady legs to walk beside you.

When you needed a friend,
I'd give you a listening ear.

When you needed support,
I'd give you a firm shoulder to lean on.

When your burdens were heavy,
I'd give you a strong back to help lighten your load.

When you didn't know where to turn,
I'd give you light to brighten your path.

When your world came crashing down on you,
I'd give you courage to lift you up.

When you thought you couldn't possibly go on,
I'd give you strength to go the distance.

When you doubted yourself,
I'd give you faith to believe.

When you felt your feet slipping away,
I'd give you solid ground on which to stand.

When you felt the urge to fly,
I'd give you wings to soar.

When you needed to smile,
I'd give you laughter--still gladly share your tears.

When you needed space and time,
I'd give you room and patiently wait.

When you wanted to dance,
I'd give you music.

When you couldn't find a song in your heart,
I'd give you a reason to sing.

When you felt despised and dejected,
I'd give you my undying love and admiration for being the amazing
man you are.

When you were hungry for passion,
I'd give you the delectable food of my love--every fiber of my body,
mind, and soul.

When you needed breath,
I'd give you my own.

If you were mine and I were yours,
I'd give you all of me.
Forever--all of me.
