On The Horizon
On the horizon the SON is shining bright
As the nuptial vows are exchanged today.
We trust these two will walk within that light;
That those vows they never shall betray.
The light is coming from the SON of God
And He will be a lamp unto their path.
It need not e'er be dim, as on they plod;
If so, they'll never feel God's awesome wrath.
For He will guide them, through His holy word
To that land of never ending day.
With eyes on Him, steadfast, never blurred,
Hand in hand, they'll walk His narrow way.
Yes, hand in hand and walking side by side,
They'll know the value of each other.
They'll never feel the selfishness or pride
Which could cause their love to waver or to smother.
With eyes fixed on the brightness, shining.
They'll love each other, as they feel His love;
Eagerly their hearts forever be entwining
Until they reach eternal life, above.
