You can do Magic
I must say since the first day you had me,
from your smooth conversation,
swift with your words on the keys,
that you gently brushed my way on my screen made me feel you.
Interested enough to want to know more.
Then I felt like you wanted to continue,
so I had to drop you my number and later on fell to wonder.
Would you call hoping that I intrigue just enough
that I might feel that touch from your voice
that melted me like hot chocolate
being poured over that ice cream dream
that you made up in glass for my birthday
you had them create for me.
You showed that you can do magic for me,
for some reason I must say to you...
I never thought that you would do it to me like you did.
Thanks for nothing,
thanks for everything,
thanks for somethings.
But most of all thanks for all the tears
that fell and turned to dust.,
You made me believe that I could trust
as your name became my fame,
your ways made trust feel like and ordinary word.
With you I could see things happen like raindrops fall upward
and feel wind blow backwards.
Where I can snap a twig branch.
To hear your soul singing to me on an open fire crackling,
talking to my spine.
Watch dirt pouring out of an hour glass upside down.
Watch it snow in cities that you can turn upside down.
Watch you do magic on me all night long.
Nobody, maybe somebody might feel my pain
thru the holler of a king
singing that love song.
Can we all just get along?
I miss you sometimes,
remembering you in certain positions
in all kinds of places,
enjoying your magic first time around...
