If only you knew the way I feel about you
then things would probably be different.
If only you knew that the feelings i have for you
are stronger than anything.
If only you knew that I never meant to hurt you
the way i have in the past,
maybe the love would still be there
if only you knew that I never meant for things
to be the way they are now.
If only you knew that everytime you hurt
I hurt also.
If only you knew the hurt and pain i am feeling,
maybe you wouldn't act the way you do.
If only you knew that the more we argue
the more my heart tears apart
If only you knew that all i ever wanted
was to be with you and only you
things probably would be better.
If only you knew that everything i put you through
i never meant to hurt you.
If only you knew that i would give my life
to take back every time i hurt you
and all the pain i caused.
If only you knew that if i could turn back the hands of time
to start all over an make thing right
...I would.
If only you knew how it feels
to always be talked about by so-called friends and loved ones,
you would understand all the pain i feel.
If only you knew how it feels
to wanna be held, wanna be loved and wanna be cared about,
and all i get is the feeling of being rejected
if only you knew that the person you love more than life itself,
doesn't trust you and always make you feel like s**t
if only you knew how it feels
when the only way people will trust you
is by you putting everything you say
on the Bible, on God, on your life,
and anything else they can think of-
and still don't trust a word you say or believe you.
if only you knew how it feels
to have low self-esteem about yourself and everything about you,
and the one you love makes it worst
and all you can do is cry yourself to sleep every night
and wonder when will people see you for what's on the inside,
and not everything else.
if only you knew...
then you would know how i feel everyday.
