i put a smile on my face
to play off my real emotions
i laugh at the unfunny
to let them think i'm not sad

i wear long sleeves to cover the scars
i wear big shirts to cover my fat
i tell them i'm fine
in a voice as if i were

i stay away so they don't see i'm hurt
from the stuff i deal with
but what they really don't know is
...i got everybody fooled
