Forbidden Secrets.. The truth unfolds
One quick look o'er my shoulder,
As I race into your arms,
Your warmth engulfes me,
All guilt flee's from my mind,
A mere speck in my past.
We step into the garden,
The one my father gave me,
You pluck a white blossom and put it in my hair,
Draw a hand across my cheek,
As you remark, 'the blossom will never be as fair as you.'
Silently we wander,
O'er the garden we go,
Hand in hand tonight,
While our hearts are held forever,
This is but a dream in a never ending web.
The Moon goes thru' her faces,
The silent goddess in the sky,
She marks our time together,
For Day is our enemy in this ever growning love,
She shines too much light, leaving no where to hide.
One fleeting kiss,
A hug to end the night,
A single tear is shed, as he goes along the way,
A look o'er his shoulder and a last wave goodbye,
Till tomorrow night my love.
I sit back in the garden,
A flower in my hair,
A silver tear upon my cheek,
Lies dancing everywhere,
I close my eyes and weep.
Dear father crosses the garden,
And lays his hand in mine,
He asks of his dear daughter,
"My sweet what disturbes you so?"
Such a sweet caring man my father is.. Yet, too blind to the truth
A look o'er my shoulder,
A sigh deep from within,
I lay my head on his shoulder,
As the story begins,
From beggining to end, the story goes.. My dear father his horror grows.
He gets up with a sigh,
A fire glows in his eyes,
A whispered, "no daddy, don't,"
And he rides his horse to the sky's,
Dear daddy, don't you hurt him... For he is my soul.
I get upon my silver,
And hold tightly with all my might,
I ride into the distance,
Time is my only fight,
Hurry my steed... Carry me into the night.
I hear a distant rumbling,
A storm approaches loud,
Lightening crashes and thunder growls,
Tonight.. I win my fight,
I shall have my hearts desire.
I jump off my steed,
Run into the dooway,
Soaked to the bone,
I merely groan as my plight is gone,
I fall to the floor at my fathers feet.. My lover strides to me.
Me on my death bed,
You at the floor,
Dear love, where did we go wrong?
God, don't take me yet
For, I have beaten time and all other odds.. Let me win for once.
50 years later,
Our love still abides,
Tho' once forbidden,
It took wing and now it flies,
You pluck a blossom and put it in my hair,
A smile so tender, a touch so right.
I go back to that night,
Where this all began,
A flower in my hair,
A tear in my eye,
And a deathly chill that made you both open your eyes.
I smile,
I look into your eyes,
Still green, as before
They hold the same conviction,
Of love untold and how it must be brought into full light.
Forbidden,
For sure,
True love,
Hidden secrets,
Why true love must be hidden I'll never know.
It is in full light,
The Sun won her valiant fight,
And brought two souls,
Together we fought what we thought was a losing battle.
I've finally won... Goodbye dark night.
