Home Again
Resplendent in his armor
He stands on the battlefield
Knowing that he'll live or die
By the mighty sword he wields
Some people fight for honor
Some people fight for fame
Some people fight to stay alive
And make it home again
People shouted that the war was on
That most dreaded of all cries
It made him leave his happy home
Because things have gone awry
He made a promise to return
When he kissed his girl good-bye
He swore this would be the last time
That he answered to their cry
Now in the midst of battle
He fights for limb and life
Anxious to go home again
And ask his girl to be his wife
He has always been a warrior
And he thought he'd die as such
But her love gives him an inner peace
That nothing else can touch....
