Life Is A Rerun
When I was little
I always wondered why
You couldn’t stay
You were always working
Late in the night
I never have the chance
To say goodnight
When I woke in the morning for school
You were asleep
On the couch
I didn’t want to wake you
And ask you how work went
So I let you sleep
And off I went
After school I would come home
And hope you would be waiting for me
But when I got there
You had already left
On your way to work again
And then
My life turned into a rerun
