Mother's Day Poem
by Dustin Manabu Kagawa

At times we may argue, at times we may fight
At times I dislike you, envy you at night
I'm left so battered, I'm left so sore
Why must we battle, why in this war?
I don't know what to think, I don't know what to say
In how I feel for you, especially on this day
To tell you the truth, to truly keep it real
At times I hate you, but at others love is what I feel
Because despite the fights, despite the arguing
I still love you, and will forever need you
So with this I will conclude, with this I will say
I spilled my heart to you, upon this special day
A day of the nation, a day of the great
It's Mothers Day, your special date.
