Scrapbook VI
by Dustin Manabu Kagawa

Is this true or just a mirage?
I met a girl who opened my heart like a garage,
a girl who will forever be special.
Oh, please tell me this isn't fictional.

A sucker for love songs, addicted to music,
that's my life, but who would've predicted
that I'd live in its lyrics
and be carried away by a special spirit?

I always wanted to meet musicians
and ask them how they made such a composition
that is beautiful in its elegant symphony,
until I met you, the one who made my skies all sunny.

I admired producers and artists
but beyond that I admire you
and your memories in which I reminisce
which are warm, warmer then a fire at Christmas.

Your thoughts, splendid as a duet,
and your impact, I will never forget.
Oh, I am so grateful to have had the chance
to live this life, which you have enhanced.
