Freestyl XIII
by Dustin Manabu Kagawa

In life things happen, things form into different shapes,
bread is made from grain, and wine is made from grapes.
Some changes are for the good
and others are often misunderstood,
my change wasn't all for the great
yet it showed me to continue keeping faith.
Yes there were times of a low
and others when I cried within my soul
crying and wanting these things to return,
but through all this there is a lesson to be learned...
I learned that true love will forever be there
because after all this time, for you, I still care.
I still love you, even more than before
because now I've felt life without you, life at a low.
I've held this back for all of these years
(I know it's more like months, but it seems like years)
for I wanted to save it, so it would truly be dear,
but I realized this all along...
I love you, and my love for you will forever be strong.
