If I Were To Lose Your Love...

By: Dustin Manabu Kagawa

If I were to lose your love...
I might as well be forever blind
for you are the only one whom I see
and another you is impossible to find

If I were to lose your love...
I might as well lose my ability to smell
for without you, my life would smell ever so foul
and my life would lose all colors
it would turn black and white--just like a cow

If I were to lose your love...
I might as well lose my ability to hear
for you are the only voice that matters in my ear
and if they're not your words, then I won't ever care

If I were to lose your love...
I might as well lose my ability to touch
because no one else has ever touched my heart as much
and I would not want to feel my loneliness
the way I would feel your goodbye kiss

If I were to lose your love...
I might as well lose my ability to taste
for if I can't taste your love, it would all be a waste
and everything else tastes icky--like a mouth full of paste

If I were to lose your love...
I might as well lose my TV
for nothing else would ever amuse me

If I were to lose your love...
I might as well lose life and lie still
for your love is the sweetest thing one could ever feel
and without it, I'm nothing but roadkill
