A splendid conversation today
as I heard the sweetest words anyone could say
this may not seem like a lot to many
but to me this was all too plenty
one minute with you seems like forever
and your every remark seems all too clever
today is something I'll never forget
for today was the closest day I had to perfect
to some this may seem like nothing
but to me this is ever so different
because a "hello" is all I need to heal my heart of a dent
oh, to hear your blessed voice
puts my heart in a constant rejoice
for there is nothing I wouldn't do
just to hear you say "thank you"
my feelings for you are ever so deep
for us to talk is something I dream of in my sleep
it's something that deserves a celebration
