Treasure Of The Heart
We walk through life with fear.
Fear of what we might find,
fear for who we are, who we will meet,
and who will be taken away.
Life is a journey you cannot walk alone.
To find one friend is a treasure,
to keep them is a blessing.
Through the darkest hour and nights
I am comforted with the thoughts
that I have a hand reaching towards me and my loneliness.
I have truly been blessed with a treasure,
a blessing in one's self.
I hold this treasure in the palms of my hands.
This treasure is... my best friend.
