Daddy's Little Girl
I remember as if it were yesterday,
When I was a little girl.
While you were taking your shower ,
You would always sing "Daddy's Little Girl"
Since then..
I have grown up into a woman,
And also a mother of two.
You now have two beautiful Grandchildren.
A handsome Grandson, That I hope will always look up to his Pop.
And a precious Grand Daughter who is your little angel,
But, at times you call her "She Devil".
And of course, "My Little Knot Head" too.
But, of course, you know she loves her "Pop" so much, too .
I know you love them and they're precious and dear to you.
Your love and guidance for them means so much,
More than you'll ever know.
We both know there was once a period of time,
I wasn't in your life, but...
It took sometime for me to adjust to a new change in life
I just want you to know,
That I am very thankful we are back together.
I know you never stopped thinking about me ,
and that you could only continue to love me.
Thank you, Dad, for your patience and your understanding.
And for giving me all the time I needed.
Because of that, we now have one another,
and we are back in each others lives now and forever.
There will be no more looking back.
No more sad tears,
Only tears of joy and happiness.
We now have the future to look forward to.
So many things to do,
So many memories to make...
Together as Father and Daughter.
Together, as we will be.
