The New Beginning
You may think you'll never feel better
that you're at the lowest point someone can get,
but let me tell you that things do get better.
You'll forget all the days the two of you met.
So, you're not his type, so what?
Does that make you a bad human being?
Does it really matter what he thinks?
Do you really need hearing all those things?
Who gave him the right to make you feel unworthy?
Who made him God to decide what's right and what's not?
Who does he think he is being so selfish?
I'll bet he doesn't ask himself that a lot.
Maybe you've done a few stupid things,
but now it's time to move on.
You don't need him playing an angel he's not.
Release yourself from the pain you've got.
He's not perfect, open your eyes,
he's not your true love, he's a man in disguise.
Be what you are, don't change because of him,
stay focused on your happiness as hard as it may seem.
There's in fact someone among all those people
that feels the same way and yearns for someone new.
There is someone who wants you the way you are,
there is someone that wants the real you.
Save all your love and kisses for him,
don't throw away your life just yet.
Be positive, keep looking straight on
and you'll see how lucky you can really get.
It's his loss, although he may disagree
but who needs him anyway, "Mr. I Want To Be Free!"
And when he sees the new you believing it's pure fate,
just tell him: "My darling, you're a bit too late."
