Daddy's Love
I look at you with Daddy--
A look so sweet and fair.
I see how you are with me--
A love, which shows no care.
You dance for him so gracefully.
His smile makes you glad.
When I tell you, "You're beautiful,"
You tell me, I am bad.
When I spend time alone with you,
You yell, you scream, you shout.
When Daddy takes you to a concert,
You feel that's what love is all about.
When you and I go shopping,
It's Daddy's money you like to spend.
We buy you everything you want, and
I get yelled at, in the end.
No matter what I say or do,
I never seem to be right.
Together, we just don't make it click.
You love to yell and fight.
He'll always be my father;
But without Mommy, I would not be here.
"I love you, with every beat of my heart."
How better can I make this clear?
