Friends Forever
Ever since we were kids,
we could tell each other everything.
And I remember the center of all our conversations were about
who we liked or who we were "going out" with.
Everything that happened in our girlfriend-boyfriend relationships,
we told each other.
But as we get older things are changing.
And I know it must be like this.
Now is the time we look for the person or the qualities of a person
who we want to grow old with.
So this means we don't tell each other everything like we used to
because we are getting older.
It feels since we both have boyfriends
we are growing farther apart.
We don't hang out together or talk to each other that much
because we are getting older.
I want you to know no matter what, I will always be here for you
and nothing will ever change that.
I hope you can say the same so that when we go through hard times,
and when our boyfriends are not there, we'll have someone to lean on.
