Comfort Zone

By: Sarah Lynn Chabot

Seeking solace
somewhere within myself.
Strangely unknown as of yet
Seeking comfort,
driven dangerously close
to the heart I wasn't sure I had.

Finding sanity
somewhere in arms I thought
I had previously lost.
Somewhere in the middle of the night
when my heart beats fast.

Stumbling silently
through heavenly situations
conversation is a bother,
speak silky truth in the morning light.

Spin a web of complications
due to my own discord
present truth in doses,
for unknown consequences.

Not sure of anything anymore
except the weight of my heart,
which has awoken in that silky sun's light.
