from crazy strife.
In a sensible way,
you created life.
For a while, I only had
drugs and booze, and
I kept telling myself,
"You don't do drugs, they do you."
When I finally looked up,
there was a light.
It shone in your eyes,
so green and bright.
You picked me up
and turned me around,
when I thought my life
was forever down.
You opened my eyes,
and now hope is all I see.
I can find it anywhere,
because you found it in me.
People always said,
"Girl, you're better!"
I believe them now,
because we're together.
I don't need all those drugs
to make my heart race.
