Lost Love

I feel as though it's over
when I look into your eyes
And do not see the love and care
that used to take me by surprise.
The seetness that you gave to me
was so special and new.
I realize that I could not see
what I failed to give to you.
My regret is washed away
by my sorrow,
My heart, so heavy with pain.
I wish the love that I can see so clearly now
belonged to us again.
