Unhappily Ever After
I have always loved you,
even though we haven't spoken.
Between us was a strong bond,
that grew feeble and is now broken.
Together we laughed,
together we played.
In the wind it all disappeared,
while the trees gently swayed.
We were torn apart,
and expected to move on.
I looked to my right and left,
but you were gone.
I kept expecting to see you again,
I saw you only from afar.
At parties and walking on the street,
we were separated by a window in my car.
I hope that you still love me,
but if you don't, I'll understand.
I guess when families get into fights,
all love must be banned.
I'll never forget,
all the memories I contain.
Maybe one day we'll laugh again,
in the shadows of the past pain.
