A Game You Can't Win
She gives herself to him,
but he never calls.
While she remembers,
what occurred between those four walls.
She gets chills,
and she feels bad.
He got all that he wanted,
and she's been had.
Pleased and proud,
he walks away.
Leaving her behind,
to face yet another lonely day.
He leaves,
continues on his journey through innocent hearts.
Never realizing or caring
about what anguish he starts.
Fear rushes through her body
and she frowns.
In countless emotions,
her wounded heart drowns.
He's shameless,
but she feels shame.
Being used and taken advantage of,
she won't be the same.
Her heart screams and aches,
with uncontrollable fury.
She didn't think of the future,
they were in too much of a hurry.
She would change the past,
but he's already gotten his way.
He's gotten all that he could,
he was the predator, she was the prey.
