Languishing and rejoicing, a mixture of feelings
Of love that was, and never would be...
Prematurely disappearing from the soul within
Hard to replenish and cannot be redeemed.
Pleasures vanishing in light of unmet needs
Rapidly diminishing all accomplished peace
Hopeless and restless, the heart keeps beating
Established romance could no longer be real.
So, love once felt and forever conceived
When it's gone, the fire is quenched
A punch in the heart, and shame in the eyes
Betrayal of trust...dilemma of love.
To love one and leave... choice so hard to make
Tragedy within... unresolved conflicts of life
Deception sets in when the mood is weak
When trust is gone... no love can survive.
