You Are My Star
When I was younger
I decided to make a wish on a star,
I wished that the one
that was meant for me wasn't very far
I kinda knew it wouldn't come true
but I wished it anyways,
And for some odd reason I waited for my wish
to come true for days.
I grew a little older
and forgot all about that night,
I started getting into relationships
but none of them were right
We started out really good
that's how it was in the start,
but then all they left me with
was emptiness and a broken heart
The day that I met you
I didn't think that we would be together,
but now it feels like
we will last forever
It's funny how people end up
being together no matter what the age
even though when people find out
they are in a rage
One time when I was with you,
my thoughts flooded back
I knew that all this time
that I was missing something it was you I lacked
You are my shining star,
you are my wish come true
I will forever cherish the day
that I finally got together with you!!
