Your Crown

By: Judy Auclair

I thirst for you as the tiny stream thirsts for the mighty lakes
To fill its depleting body anew with life giving fluids.
Thus, your love sustains me and protects me
As my life flows on its journey.

Each new day surrenders its velvet cloak of night
For a soft one of red and gold trimmed with brilliant blue.
I am wrapped in these along with your love
Making my brilliance outshine the brightest sun and star.

As I look out upon the wonders placed before me,
Your love beckons me,
Its sweetness and tenderness glistens like iridescent gems
Set in a crown of gold.

A crown I wear with honor and pride as your Queen, my King,
For no greater honor can ever be bestowed upon me.
