Love A Man
The death of the friendship took place
When he said loved me.
Me, being another he,
Had to let him go,
Like so many women had done to me.
I said the same thing women say to men
"I love you too, you are my friend.
We will always be friends,
Just friends,
Forever.
Our friendship is very important to me."
And to top it all off,
I even gave him a platonic hug
Shoulders only, light slap
No lower body contact
Like so many women had done to me.
His heart was crushed, but he understood.
And after that, I slowly let him fade away
Like so many women had done to me.
I dedicate this poem
To all the girls who've rejected me,
Who didn't want to get next to me.
Thank you for showing me how to
Let a guy down easy.
For you see,
I know that I could
Never, ever,
In my life
Be with him that way.
There is no way on Earth
That I could
Ever
Love a man.
